Did you ever think working on your computer remotely. Sometimes, we may need to work on our computer when we are at our friend’s place. You want to work on a particular file which is containing sensitive data that no one should know. Then you can simply ask your family members to turn on the system and you can start working if you have enabled Remote Desktop.
Remote Desktop feature is available with almost all operating systems. In this post, we will see how can we enable Remote Desktop in Windows XP, Windows 7
Step 1 : Go to Run -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> Click on System Icon.
Step 2 : Choose Remote tab and check Allow users to connect remotely to this computer
Step 3 : Navigate back to the Control Panel and the Pick a category screen. Now choose Security Center then click on Windows Firewall. You need to Uncheck the Don’t allow exceptions box.
Step 4 : Now select Exceptions tab and check the Remote desktop. Click OK
Step 5 : Let your computer run and connect to Internet. Your computer is ready for remote access
Step 1 : Click on Start
Step 2 : Choose Properties by Right clicking on Computer
Step 3 : On the left side of the window, Click on Remote Settings
Step 4 : Check on Allow Remote Assistance connections to this computer check box.
Step 5 : Make sure the Don’t allow connections to this computer radio button is not checked.
Step 6 : Click either one of the radio buttons that allow remote connections
